Do you expect us to praise you because you (your parents) have money?

12gb is more than enough RAM.
The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty; it's merely twice as big as it needs to be.

hi there fellow-belgian.. :-)

first thing you have to tell us:
what will you be using this new desktop for ?
because an i7 is generally spoken way over ... it's more usefull if you are going to do video editing, rendering, photoshop things and the like.
why don't you go for a "normal" socket 1155 motherboard with a core i5 2500, 8Gb of ram.

why go for a 900 Watt psu ? a 650Watt psu is more than enough i think.
will you be going for crossfire setup in the future or not ?
If I were you I'd wait to buy a SSD... the next generation is being released somewhere around may-june, expect to see higher throughput speeds etc.. and if those will be too expensive, expect to see a pricedrop on the current models.

then also, why buy such a big case? you will only put 1x 1TB 3.5" hdd and a SSD 2.5" ...
i really think you are overdoing it with the system you asked our opinion about. so my opinion is, think it all over, take my suggestions into consideration and you'll be saving a lot of money ! Which you could spend on a new screen to go with the 6950 radeon.. what resolution will you be playing games, if any ? if you want to go playing at 1920*1080, get a good screen to go along with your specs ..

cheers.

This thread was pretty old.. We should probably try and refrain from posting on dead topics.

Just throwing the idea out there:
What about deleting old threads that don't contain anything worth reading, or would be pointless to necro like/or the multiple multiple ones that are like this:
viewtopic.php?f=37&t=361

I know that would take a bit of work. But do you think it would be beneficial?
