So I am an idiot, thank you for posting the link. Anyone here use Hacker's Disassembler? I am using it and I can't find any strings related to the application making this hard for me. Without locating the jumps how do I break them?

I don't think you actually need to disassemble the program for this one. Try viewing it a different way.

Well like a precious reply said, I trued using Notepad ++ but it shows up completely encrypted, I tried a few different languages and nothing showed anything.

By the way I would do the basic cracking tutorials but I am not looking for http cracking, I am only interested in application/software cracking.

I just starting today if you can't already tell. I have read through MULTIPLE guides, watched several videos, and used MANY different programs which took hours to find. I have a general idea, and I am very certain as to how it's all done as I program, the trouble I have is executing what needs to be done. Oddly enough.

Eh i doubt it. If people wanted to, they would write actual comments in the language that they were writing it.

hello all!!
ok so i'm positive that i know what i'm doing here...i just completed a few similar app challenges over at HBH but i opened app 1 in edited out, found the part where it says "congratulations! the password to this level is '.....' but all that's between the quotes is scrambled blocks/symbols...is there another step that i need to take? any feedback is appreciated!
