If you're talking about extbasic 1, not 7, then it should be pretty obvious as to what language it is.

You have to give input to a C program which gives you the length of the string.

C, C#, and C++ are all programming languages, related in many ways but different as well.
For the mission, you don't need to write a program. You can, but seeing as how you don't know how, it'd be pointless. Read the question, use some common sense, and then submit your answer into the space provided.

You are so unorganized in your thought that it's hard to read what you type.

It should not be hard to figure out what Ext Basic 7 (the mission in the title of this thread) is written in. For fuck's sake, it is in the title of the mission itself. For Ext Basic 1, the language is given in the description. mShred already told you what C, C++, and C# are. In fact he already explained most of what I just did. You need to read replies instead of wildly posting message after message, some only a few minutes apart.

To compile it you need a compiler and some other tools. You can use DevC++ as you mentioned for most basic programs. It's a compiler with a code-editor all in one.
