Corewars Challenge

Now, I don't kn ow if all of you know about this old school programming challenge so I will describe it briefly.

Corewars is a programming game in which virii/programs battle each other for the control of a computer. It is programmed in Redcode(Assembly) and run on a MARS.(Memory Array Redcode Simulator) There are some warriors which you can use as a base and an evolver. You are free to make them of any size and your ultimate goal is to bomb with a DAT instruction other warriors until you destroy them.

So the goal of this post is to create a tournament, challenge, for HTS members. I will host them and you are free to either PM me the code or post it here. If you choose the former rather than the later your code won't be disclosed.

This is a KoTH tournament so it will start after 3 warriors are received and will be 1000 rounds long using the typical formula for scoring of: (W*W-1)/S

So, anybody interested?

It sounds really interesting, but my lack of assembly knowledge is kind of an obstacle .

Read the getting started guide. There is a tutorial on Redcode and example of basic warriors in there. I don't know assembly either, just a bit of Redcode. xD

On a more serious note it sounds like fun ^_^ and perhaps when I get around to compiling a good combat program I may join as well...
