Do you have permission to write in Program Files? Even if your an administrator, Windows 7 (and Vista?) won't let you write anything there by default. Besides, I don't think you want to save an installer in C:\Program Files anyhow.

I meant, where are you saving the installer, not where are you trying to install. Or are you actually saving the installer in Program Files?

After you've downloaded the executable file, you have to go into your antivirus and move it to the "Always Allowed" section. It took me forever to get Cain working, and it was annoying as shit. I actually had to do that a couple times to get it to finally work.

sadly i am having the same issue. i am running vista and when i download the program windows cannot find cain.exe. i have tried looking at my virus protection, firewalls, etc. i even went as far a shutting it all down and i still cannot get the program to work. someone please help me out here.

Turn down or off your anti virus completely, or if you know what you're doing, go into the settings of the av and allow cain.exe to work. Redownload cain if you need to.
Also, don't necro old threads.
