The problem is that in order to prove or disprove something, you have to be able to define it, right?
Much of the debate so far has been about the nature of the soul, and if we can't agree on the characteristics, how can we test it?

Interesting definition. I disagree. I think the structure and chemical composition of our brain determines who we are(artificially changing the balance and levels of certain chemicals in the brain can change the person's behavior/personality, who they are) and there for the soul and brain aren't independent.
