Downloading file from server

Hi there!

I'm new here, but I have a little question about a problem with a file on a webserver.
On the server there is a perl script that writes things in that file and I can access the perl script (download it) when I type the URL to the script without its extension (ie. http://www.bla.com/directory/perlScript.pl -> http://www.bla.com/directory/perlScript). But when I try this with the other file (extension .chr) another file with the same name (another perl script) will be downloaded instead. Typing the full URL with the fileextension results in a 500 Internal Server Error. Any ideas how I can access this file?

Do you think we are idiots or just stupid?

Most likely the CHR extension means that the file contains information about a character in a game that uses BioWare's Infinity Engine. Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights, use this engine.

HTS does not support any illegal activities tyvm.

Nice catch!

But sometimes, I'm just a little confused. Knowledge is like a gun, with which you can both protect people and kill them. He who kills people with a gun gets the responsibilities and goes to jail. Neither the gun nor the gun manufacturer is supposed to be blamed. In this case, if any knowledge provider is to be considered as "supporter" for illegal activities, does that imply gun shops are accomplices?
Just a thought.

If a tree falls in a forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Furthermore, is the first sentence of this paragraph grammatically correct?

@OP: By the way, good choice in games. Bioware's newer RPGs are wonderful, though.

Sure. But the sound isn't anyone's problem, is it? No one needs to be responsible for that except the fallen tree.

Furthermore,
"Nice catch!" is a phrase showing agreement, which implies I agree with HTS's discouragement of illegal activities here at the forum. Given that attitude, "But sometimes I'm just a little confused." What's the grammar problem?

The little bit confused line made me think about a favorite song of mine by my all time favorite band... 10 points if you can get it..

I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused.
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used.
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise.
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze?

Tremor, you have good taste in music. I love Pink Floyd.

This is not the algorithm. This is close.
