This will be part 1 of a series of lectures I will be conducting based on networking. We will start off with LAN basics and slowly work our way up to more advanced concepts. The desired end goal of the series will be that all participants will have a thorough understanding on how the internet works as a whole from the ground up.

Kage gave a bit of a spur of the moment lecture on software development. He covered areas of the field such as the very basics, to developing for open source projects such as Ubuntu, Debian, etc. I know a lot of people learned about the specifics of software development, as well as how the development of our favourite open source projects are run!
