A prank like that actually made it into 2600 one time (I'm fairly sure it was 2600 :/). It would be funny if a worm like that was made and spread rapidly throughout a school's computer lab.

It's really not that bad.. I know I've seen people getting riled up over there computers being so "effin' slow", restarting every 5 minutes to see if that would help. I usually just hid the taskbar and waited for them to realize that their clocks aren't working.

A worm that did that would be funny. hmm..

I only skimmed this thread but must note that back before I grew up, when I was a little skiddie too... some of my most effective and destructive work was delivered and executed using batch in some manner or another. Combing batch with vb script can be especially effective in a windows networked environment. I use batch presently for effective administration across an NT Domain... my favorite thing to do is use batch files with task scheduler to force shutdowns on friday... seeing as how everyone tends to leave their machines on.

Ah, Batch. Fun, fun, fun, and more fun! What I like doing is replacing someone's browser shortcut with an identical icon, which is actually a shortcut to shutdown.exe -s -t 0

Hey there, it's nice to see that you're so enthusiastic about this site and about hacking in general, but, it would be even nicer if you looked at the date of the last post first, before posting on it. The reason being, that those of us who posted on a thread such as this a long time ago, don't really want to revisit a long dead thread. Thanks.
