fabianhjr wrote:thetan, why don't you simply generate some random passwords and create password protected forums? The password is given upon completition of the challenge. That is an easy to implement fix and could be changed later on. Maybe allow the completition page to have a link to the forums and automatically submit the forum password?

BTW, I suggest a split since thetan's post to the comments and suggestions forum. This had felt offtopic.

Add a row for each thread to the users table and generate a password based on the users password and or username for each forum so that it cannot be leaked and is unique to each user. Problem solved :D

thats a fail solution, it should be automagic. Also, there is no working with the current site. The current site is dead and will never be developed for again.

Whoa! What!? That's a pretty ominous statement. Far from the mood of your previous post on this thread. Should we be concerned about what it means, or are you just saying the next incarnation of this place will be completely different?

It's not ominous at all, what's ominous is the current code base and the environment it lives in.

The recode once complete will bring HTS back to being the coolest kid on the hackbloc again.

To clarify, the current code is not going to be worked on at all. It's going in the trash. However, the recode will be worked on.
