Your code was removed. Don't post solutions to missions. Someone could easily copy & paste that to complete realistic 6.

To be honest, I don't really see a problem with posting code. Do we really care that much if a few people take the time to steal his code and run it to solve realistic 6? Chances are, if they're cheating on realistic 6 they won't even know how to run his code.

Defience, I was speaking with thetan at IRC#help and he said it was fine; Fell free to remove it however. There is another guy who posted his solution on the Crypto Forum so I went to ask thetan about the extension of the no spoilers rule. He gave me a green light to show my code and ask for feedback.

So, how far does the no spoilers rule really extends?
EDIT: sorry, it was thetan :P

There's a topic that I myself commented on and posted a link to my decryption page and the person who started the topic linked their live solution page as well. They might as well just go to those pages.

I don't really have much to say about your code mainly because it was removed! Please put it back up, I wanna check it out.

Yes, I care. As a mod it's part of the duties to make sure there are no spoilers posted let alone an entire solution. If someone goes outside of HTS for spoilers or solutions that's one thing but they shouldn't be able to find them here. Cheating isn't encouraged.

I haven't seen the post in the Crypto Forum. I respect thetan's knowledge but keep in mind that he's a developer and I'm a moderator and as such, removing spoilers is part of my duties.

With that said fabianhjr, I can appreciate wanting other's opinions on some code that you've worked hard on writing and I know your intention was not to give anything away to others (reason for no warning). Here's what I would suggest though...
Post something like this:
"I've written an XECrypt Decrypter in Python for realistic 6 and it works well but I'd appreciate any feedback on my code. If you've done real 6 and wouldn't mind taking a look at it, pm me and I'll send it to you."

^^ just a suggestion.

-_-, This is an annoyance if anything. This will be fixed in the next HTS. Upon completion of any mission you will unlock a relevant forum for that mission in which solutions may be openly discussed and shared along with various other comments concerns or post mission questions.

-Thetan

This is why Thetan is a sexy beast.

Also, I kinda wanted to post from my iPod Touch for the first time. Kinda fun if I don't say so myself. And might I say, HTS renders very well, even on the tiny screen.
Assume that everything I say is or could be a lie.

thetan, why don't you simply generate some random passwords and create password protected forums? The password is given upon completition of the challenge. That is an easy to implement fix and could be changed later on. Maybe allow the completition page to have a link to the forums and automatically submit the forum password?

BTW, I suggest a split since thetan's post to the comments and suggestions forum. This had felt offtopic.
