Friday 10/23 Lecture: Introduction to Networking (Part 1)

([msg=47023]see Friday 10/23 Lecture: Introduction to Networking (Part 1)[/msg])

Next lecture will be held October 23th @ 1:00 PM PST/4:00 PM EST.

This will be part 1 of a series of lectures I will be conducting based on networking. We will start off with LAN basics and slowly work our way up to more advanced concepts. The desired end goal of the series will be that all participants will have a thorough understanding on how the internet works as a whole from the ground up.

- Ventrilo Server: vent.i-cog.org Port: 9765 | #HTS Lecture | PW: hackthissite
- IRC Server: irc.hackthissite.org | SSL: 6697 or 7000 | #lecture

See you all there!

The lecture has been rescheduled to next Saturday. Please try to make it! :D ~Bren2010

Jesus, you guys nail everything that I'm interested in. Perfect timing!
I love it. Can't wait.

I was massively interested in the last one, although sadly I didn't make it; I'm eagerly awaiting the posted recording. I totally want to make this one too! Thanks.

Sounds like it should be promising. I hope to make this one.

Okay first: PST= Pacific Standard Time, and EST = Eastern Standard time, right? If so, then there's a 3 hour difference... not 2. At least based on my understanding. All the people I know on the East coast are 3 hours ahead of me, and I'm on the West coast, in Pacific time. Unless I'm just freakin' retarded. <-- Possible.

Also, the Vent and IRC Server stuff is just the same as the last lecture right? Nothing's changed?

Very cool Thetan, I'll be sure to be there, especially because I missed the last one.
