Maybe put a sub-menu on the main page on the right, like the articles, to ensure that the most people will be informed about the lectures? It'll be great to have lectures on. Never actually attended one in my 2 years here.

Somebody has to be the troll. Better him than you right ?

On Topic: When should we start submitting topic ideas? Are we gonna start it this months or next month?

1st. imcrafty is female. *shocking for these parts of the webs*
2nd. Start submitting ideas here and now.
3rd. I think that the bot should archive the logs and post to HTS under the lecture section for Previous Lectures.

4th. +1 Sandy's ideas.
I would also like to see advanced SQL Injection, Tor/Privacy, Perl Vs.Python (Un-prejudiced or maybe have two lecturers debate???), general good programming practice tips.

There's a start.

Submit now. We'll mull over the ideas and pick one as soon as we get around to it.

I happen to be somewhat knowledgeable in that field. Acknowledged.

imcrafty wrote:Wait... This might be a little off topic but... What if an admin or mod from HTS dies? How would we know?

I was not kidding when I said I would be enforcing this...

What else would we do? It's not like we would accept you as a normal member.

And I definitely like the forensics idea. I guess that could go along with Tor and privacy?

Does the topics have to be about hacking and security, or anything can come up connected to computer science?

Pretty much. If you wanna hear about it, post. If we pick it, great. If not, oh well.

Well, okay... here are my suggestions:
- Applied artifical intelligence (programming artificial neural networks, and virtual agent systems)
- OpenCL (GPGPU programming)
- Programming with functional languages (like haskell)
- Programming microcontrollers (especially AVR)
I know these are not hacking related, but I think there are many who will recommend those in my stead. Of course I'm interested in network security too.

Will there also be lectures hardware oriented?
like overclocking, undervolting, increasing someones wireless range?
or even make cool things like this
