my two big concerns are the economy and net neutrality.

I really don't care to get involved with the other issues, but it'd be nice to give gays the right to marry and such.

It's interesting to notice that problems tend to be about the same everywhere. Maybe with a different nuance...

I think abortion is an important issue. But a one I really think is important is that most Americans need to stop complaining so much. Last night on the news some woman was talking about how bad she had it because she had to sell her SUV, and buy a compact car. :?: IMO if you can afford a car at all you have no right to complain... well you have the right your just pretty haughty if you do.

I'm not sure I would count this as an issue, per se. :p But as an American, I do put up with the griping often enough for it to be a nuisance. [rant] Yes, we all know that gas prices are absurdly high. So don't depend on it. [/rant]

Economy + Environment, not that I don't care about other matters (rejecting the notion of a gender binary, I am also a proponent of GBLTQ rights). I'm of the opinion that we need to get all of our ducks in a row and become functional again before other issues (and "issues") are tackled. An investment in the environment as a nation would not only provide the obvious benefits, but would also create more jobs. Researching alternative energy sources would also decrease our dependency upon foreign oil, so our foreign policy needn't be as motivated by our deficit-ridden checkbooks. Obviously, nothing is ever this simple, but at first blush this seems like an approach that is workable in the context of a larger, more comprehensive plan.
