PHP help to improve

([msg=43465]see PHP help to improve[/msg])

Hello,I started learning PHP because I read about HTML on w3schools and I wanted to see what PHP was.
I liked it so I read through the whole tutorial on w3schools.I also read the manual(tutorial) at php.net that has more information than the 1 on w3schools.I also checked out Python and I liked it,but I read on the forums you shouldn't learn 2 languages at once so I decided to go with PHP since thats what I first started.
I need help improving this basic knowledge cause I dont know where to go from here.Any suggestion about some projects, some more reading or anything that could help me improve would be very apreciated.
Thank you in advance :D

Build your own forum or cms.

No I don't. Start with a working login script using MySQL. Then build from that.

He's got to start somewhere.

Definitely work in chucks, as fashizlemahnizzle suggested. Think of it like Legos, taking it one piece at a time.

That, or Karls...

Yah, I didn't mean a whole CMS in one sitting. I don't know anyone who could sit there and spit out a fully functional integrated CMS at once. :/

Shut yer mouth. I can use whatever proper names I want in place of similar-looking words, even without capitalization!

As for writing a CMS in one sitting, I bet thetan either has or would do that. He's a sick bastard like that.

I was thinking of editing my post to say that Thetan would be the only one... charles.
