Epicurus was a greek philosopher, who basically cast the concepts of worshipping a God or Gods in a bad light with his famous quotes. Ill list some and put a link to his quotes.
Is God willing but not able?

Is God neither able nor willing?
Then why worship God?

This, like many many other obvious logical flaws in religious ways of thinking, is just simple sense. Just like, for example, the paradox of omnipotence, to name one. I'm surprised more people don't conclude this themselves, philosopher or not
