It's quite easy to get the password to that clue stuff, but i've tried all words related to the name of something described in that clue file, none worked. (I've got the original text of that clue...)

Should I look back into that image, or look 'into' that clue or analyse that clue literally ?

Great challenge so far! However, I'm stuck at this point too. Is the final password a real word that relates to the clue? None seem to be accepted.

EDIT:
Wow ... I've finally peeled through all the layers: henceforth known as The Onion Stego. Nearly brought tears to my eyes as well ;)

Oh wow. This is the most awesome stego I saw on this site. I found the meaning of the clue completely by mistake XD
There are 11 types of people in the world - those who understand binary, those who don't and those who already heard this joke.

How does the clue help you get the final pass?

I've got as far as the clue and I have a good idea of what it points towards,
but i've tried many many words relating to it and no luck.

So I'm not sure if I'm interpreting the clue properly.

Any hints would be much appreciated :D

A few hints:
1. the password is not a "normal english word"
2. most probably you don't need a hex editor to solve this.

I also have obtained the clue. A google search reveals what the clue is referring to, but that's not enough information to determine a password. Also, nothing seems to be suspicious about the clue file itself. So I'm at a loss.

Edit:
Does it have anything to do with w****sp**e?

Probably not - given I don't know what that word is supposed to be.
