Have always used Notepad2.
Personally, I don't like to open files in tabs inside a program like in Notepad++ (well, in browsers tabs are good..)

I agree!!! If you use it for hosting, and code everything yourself and over-ride the ads.

Just normal Notepad. It gets the job done. That's all that matters. I also have adobe's CS4 portable photoshop that I use for graphics.

A few months necro, but heres what I have to say: Why use something that just works when you could use something works well? Though notepad works, it doesn't have syntax highlighting, auto indentation, or any of the masses of useful features that something that works well has. Something like vim can really speed up the development process.

Oh jeez I didn't even realize that. Though I did see this post fairly high up. But anyways I use it because I prefer my method of organization. I have a lot of comments and use templates so it generally doesn't take long for me to get a lot of pages done. I have a few pre-done CSS's that I use then I make a basic template for the HTML page and I'm good to go for a while. I occasionally use Microsoft's Visual Web Designer 2010 Beta 2 but other then that just notepad and self-indenting on the templates so I don't spend as much time.

notepad++ on windows is indeed nice. I tend to do an obscene amount of my developing in nano though :-/ when i'm on *nix

I use plan ikd notepad because you have to find the errors yourself which helps you learn more about the code your dealing with and makes you have to fix it yourself with no help.Once I fully master web design on the languages I am intrested in I will be moving to dreamweaver cs4 but I have to get the money to buy it first lol.
