Hi, I did this mission the other day

completed the hardest part for me was the < that took me FOREVER to figure out. I was just wondering though, this is your encryption system right? I never figured out how to actually use the Ascii chart so I decrypted 1 at a time. Say i found another encrypted password somewhere else, and i wanted to decrypt it the same way. It wouldn't work because everyone uses different encryption software right? Just curious thanks for any tips

btw the forums rock i was trying to figure these out just by what the mission said at first, what i nightmare. Much more info in the forums

That password decryption is just to get users familiar with the process. You're not going to find another password somewhere on HTS that uses that. There are many different types of encryption methods. As far as the use of the ascii chart, it isn't necessary but once you figure out the pattern of the encryption you can use the chart quicker than just using the keyboard.

im having a lot of problems with this one been on it for about 2 hours now i cant figure out the decryption on it i know ppl say to look at a ascii chart which is just confusing to me and every time i encrypt a new set of numbers and letters i copy it down into notepad but i just dont see a pattern with any of it. any kind of hint would be really appreciated.

neways im fairly new.. and ive tryed using the chart you guys have suggested. but i cant seem to read it the way i should be.
ive been working on this mission awhile now and still havent got it.. i believe i got the pattern but then again wen i apply my method it doesnt add up.. if someone come pm me so i can ask if my method is rite and i am jus missing something so i wont give up on this pattern. im not looking for a answer from anyone. jus some helpful advice.cuz i havent accomplished the goal with the other forums!

It's understandable that you are having problems with this mission. Unfortunately, I have to tell you this:

1.) Basic 6 thread is locked for a reason.
2.) PLEASE READ IT.
3.) True story, br0: The thread offers hints more than you'll ever need. Literally.
4.) Ask specific questions.
5.) Now /THIS/ thread is locked.
