Zeitgeist and The Venus Project !

Hello guys . As i can see there is no same topic or any other topic about Venus project here . So what you think about Venus project ? Is that just an utopia or necessary for humanity (in order to survive) ?

My opinion is that The Venus Project is very necessary . Not Venus project its self but that resources based economy without politics (or not like this one we all know ) with no countries , and after all society without money (society without monetary system) . There would be no need for money when all works will be done by robots and other automated machines . We really have to change us , our world . There are no nations . There are just humans , and Earth . But i think that technolegy is not on that necessary level as Jacques Fresco believe .

Interesting thing is that Jacques Fresco (founder of Venus Project) becoming unliked in USA media . His groups have been banned on some internet groups without reason . And very interesting thing is that Jacques Fresco is 93 years old man and he working on Venus Project about 40 years , but he become known ( as hope for humanity ) just after those free movies on internet ( looking from mass point of view ) . Rumors i found on internet says that the first Venus city (like experiment) will be build in Japan , because they are interested to do so . Just rumors ...

I see you are talking about ethics , i think this movies are really interesting in explaining questions about ethics . For those who don't know what I'm talking about : I'm talking about documentary movies Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist Addendum .

Sorry for my bad english . Its seems that we have to make new language , the Terran Language better and easier to learn then any other language , some kind of mix , taking the best parts of all other languages . Accepting the English language looks like cultural occupation for "smaller" nations - and it will never been done . In late 1980 in Europe was that idea , but died just after few years .

That was not State development or something like that (like cern or other government supported researches ) . That's why we are talking about movies , not books . There are books to read . Who are interested can download them , they are free . They don't have enough money to translate to all languages - but they have done it for many languages . Nobody rich are interested in their projects because that project not making profit . It is not like preparation for baldness or some preparation for skin or new fancy software for making web pages witch be sell for money . But if you like , you can help them not just in translating , but in many other ways ...

Short Triller

The first one is about 11/9 terrorist attack on Twins in New York City and about religions . There are some relative terms and things about religions . Many people disagree about story in first Zeitgeist about religions . But you can check all thinks what have been said there . And after all , they are not important for The Venus Project and undrstanding its concept .

Religions are itself relative . And story about them will be always "i am right , you are not" . Because it is understanding of mist - something that don't exist in our world . I didn't say that God don't exist . That is another topic because nobody knows what the god is . Everybody have their own concept of god . There are milions of religions and gods . But , for me , there is something same for all of us , its believing . But nvm ...

For somebody that story and the story about America government doing things like Nazi Germany in WW2 will be unacceptable . Again , think with your own head , and after all check all thinks (use your best friend google for example ) your not sure in them and they are so much shape your life at the same time . Don't take it as it is , just like that .

NOTE : Don't judge before you watched movies and think about ideas shown there . On some questions we just don't know the answer . We just can say "I don't know" . Remember HAL9000 : "I do not have enough informations . " ( 2001 : A Space Odyssey, movie and book ) . Sometimes we need so huge knowledge to say "I don't know" .

So we leave and learn . We seek for informations . We are all looking for truth and knowledge .

And maybe you have some knowledge and informations that this is all just a farsa .

Seems like a good idea, but looks like it would require several small communes, as the more people there are in a given environment the more impersonal things get, and then people stop caring about one another, etc. etc....as far as it being necessary, I'm not too sure about that.

Also, I doubt this will become a reality any time soon, as there are corporations who devote time and effort to crushing ideas like this.

I think that the venus project is a good thing, but it has several flaws, and because of these, it will fail just like feudalism, communism, etc, and just like capitalism is failing right now. The Venus project fails to remember, that there is the SOUL... it embodies the most extreme techno-idolatry I have ever seen. It fails to recognize, that the core purpose of religion is not authoritarism. Zeitgeist confuse religion with the CHURCH, which was the establishment to look over the mind and thoughts of people, just like the MEDIA nowadays. Religion is about searching for the ultimate truth of life. Zeitgeist doesn't recognize that, that's why the Venus project is bound to fail, if it ever realises. The Venus would realise the Brave New World... which is good and luxirous, and everything, but soulless. But it would be far better than the present state.
I think that the ultimate goal of hackers, like the ones on this forum, would have to utilize religion, art, and science once again, like in the ancient days.

Hoes to say that all systems are now falling because they did not recognize the importance of the soul and religion or that we have in the history of ancient times and had a good social system, because then we had a true religion and the soul?

And as far as I know in the history we have never had a good system. The world was full of wars, misery and poverty, especially in that era when religion was the law. Although I admit that you are here set a new framework definition of religion that is your and its more like a teaching and research to me (much more like science then religion). People have never had such a religion like you talking about, they always have one religion that the church tells. It is just the religion that teaches individuals that it is infallible, the only proper and right and to its members for its supposed sacred origin, to kill or die. That is what we call religion and what it really was.
