I'm not sure if I'm a nerd or not. I do enjoy working with computers, and do some 'nerdy' things, such as programming, reading, writing, collecting anime, etc; but I also do things such as photography, work on my car, cook, listen to music, and more. My eyesight is poor, but I wear contacts instead of my glasses. I don't look like a nerd, and am fairly attractive (so much so that random girls come up and give me hugs in the mall.. among other things)

I am typically hyper in person and find almost everything funny. I've been described as not lacking in self-confidence. My verbal speech is the one thing that I have issue with. I get nervous when speaking aloud sometimes and am self-conscious of my voice. I also think much faster than I talk and end up skipping words, which jumbles my sentences and makes me repeat them.. so I don't talk much and just listen. I have been planning on practicing my speech to develop it better -shrugs-

All in all, I'm not sure if I'm a nerd. I'm not socially inept, I have a girlfriend; I have a car; I have a job; I have many hobbies; I work for a software development company. What is a nerd these days?

I looked up the term 'nerd' in the dictionary and it describes somebody socially awkward...nothing about how smart you are so I am not a nerd if I'm following the 'official' meaning of the word. XD

Um... in my school it is a good thing to be a nerd. The better grades you get, the better you're looked upon. But, I do enjoy Math and Science...

Same at my school the better grades you recieve the better you are socially. I can't say I have been called a nerd, Hippy yes - though that may be beacause I live in the drug central of my state Personally I see myself more as a Techie- but that's just me.

I don't really think of myself as one. I spend most of my free time on a computer, but have plenty of friends that are technologically retarded, and only a few that know much of anything about a computer. That being said, I've never been called a nerd, and really don't fit the stereotypical look either.

I'm kind of nerdy, but I dress/look Emo. I play games, have all my life, I love computers and now I've taken up hacking. Lots of people would call me a nerd.
