Don't post this here. There is already a topic in the 'Basic' section.
Meh.

I have to say this was, by far, my favourite basic challenge so far. It seems really challenging to begin with, but once you get a start on it, it's really fun to work on and figure out.

What really set me off was trying to encrypt the same letter/number/symbol repeatedly and seeing what I got. I.E aaaaaaa

Anyways that's my tip, I hope it wasn't too much of a spoiler. :D

sorry to post here, i hope you people don't mind it, but the other topic was locked...
well.. i know what to do in basic 6, but the problem is: ":".. is it a bug? everytime i exchange it for a + it will be counted as a 0

encrypted code i get>f1f48:ij
decrypter by myself >f0d14+cc
but,
encrypting>f0d14+cc results to f1f480ij
is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?? i mean, ":" will become "+" right?

Btw, thanx for the puzzles! :D

One way to check it out--put a string of colons in the encrypter and see what it spits out :)

ooh, i ment in reverse..
in decrypting, the ":" will become a "+"?

edit: silly me, forgot to take 1234abcd-+/: table. i toke the abcd-+/: table
but still, your answer didn't really help me, but thanks for your time :)

This was my favorite mission so far, I understand the HTML and the basics of javascript so the others were at least familiar but I've never done encryption/decryption before.
Was awesome to finally figure this one out :)

The only way to solve this is to have persistence. Keep trying out different variations of the code and write down any that match so you don't forget. Then after you've got all 8, check to make sure they match.
