No particular reason, its just what I decided to type in back when I first started the network.
Could you point me to somewhere to make Xp Pro's login to domain controllers?

If you have already setup the domain controller on the windows 2000 box right click on my computer and go to properties. Click on computer name and click on change this computers name. There you can switch from a workgroup to a domain.

Thanks for the answer, but I figured it out myself just before coming on.
Have you got any experience with the 2k server? Or at least any knowledge about applying user restrictions (No access to C drive etc)
I'm about to browse google, but I thought I might as well ask anyway. Maybe you know of some amazing tutorials on the subject :D
Or maybe thats just wishful thinking... Anyway, thanks for your help so far

Anyways, grab a copy of DVL (Damn Vulnerable Linux). Although, if you are more interested in network hacking you should grab a copy of windows server. Learn about DNS and zone transferring.

I thought you were joking here, but sure enough, there is a DVL. That's really a really neat idea! I'll have to use that next time I setup the lab for security training. Thanks for the info!
