Well here's a fix: Hit F8 while starting up, enter safe mode, then remove it from the list of start-up programs. The "virus" doesn't demonstrate much though, it's a little script-kiddie-ish.

learn c++(and other) and make viruses.

I AGREE WITH BOTH OF THESE PEOPLE.

Your prank is that you lock down the PC? C'mon, if that's what you're after, reboot, enter the BIOS, and stick a password on the PC. Now nobody can use the PC without the password.

Geeze guys, chill, seriously this is a PRANK something you might do to your not so-computer-literate friends, or maybe in school, to that kid you bumped into you and made you drop your coke and just laughed...I seriously hope you evil bastards dont get my IP or you'll probably force my computer to overclock and shut off the fans because of what I just said.

Firstly, it isn't a virus; a virus is a self spreading code, which this isn't.

Secondly, a binary malware put into the startup through the registry would be more effective. A lot of people who know about the startup directory, won't know how to remove startup entries from the registry.

But to be fair, you can do a lot of damage with batch scripts.

Tricks like this are a lot of fun, albeit immature and simple. They can still cause an enormous headache to the less computer-literate.

I'm looking for a good virus to use does this .bat file propagate itself to infect other computers & can it take commands from a remote server to spawn a DDOS...?

I suppose you're asking on how to create a self-propagating virus. The answer is 42.

If you are asking if this is capable of self-propagating, I am astonished.

Nevermind all of that nonsense.

Maybe I should've put sarcasm in the post to begin with....

This is why I shouldn't wander about on forums after 10PM, my brain starts degrading.

My apologies.

Reduce a Windows user to a writhing puddle of frayed nerves with this old (but good) ASCII trick. In DOS, change directory to \windows\desktop and create a new directory. Just make sure the new dir's name has spaces - preferably something enticing to the victim (ie: "hot naked Babette" or "My Awsome MP3s", minus quotes). But wait! This is where the magicians sight of hand takes place: where the spaces are hold down the ALT key and enter 255 on the keypad. This will create a new folder on the Windows desktop which - when clicked on - reports it doesn't exist.
