i agree, its not a virus, but i have done things like this to my friends
another good one to do is this

use the killtask command to shut down explorer.exe

then start you.justgotowned.com

create a small timer to count until the site is finished

next get creative
either shut the machine down (a lil boring at this point)
or...
echo Now formating your entire drive:
tree -f C:\

then you can get a lil creative with a message
echo Got ya! dont ever mess with me... ever.... good bye

start explorer.exe

that ones usually pretty funny

also a fun thing you can do is use winrar to pack these into exe files, so they happen when they run a program

again, deffinatly not viruses, but i feel if you're just pulling a prank and not being mean, why go to all the work of writing a virus? these work just fine for pranks

learn c++(and other) and make viruses.

I AGREE WITH BOTH OF THESE PEOPLE.

Your prank is that you lock down the PC? C'mon, if that's what you're after, reboot, enter the BIOS, and stick a password on the PC. Now nobody can use the PC without the password.

That is the lamest piece of shit i've ever seen, anyone who thinks this is cool is an idiot, go learn C and do something useful.

at the very least at a -c "comment here" and have it add a regkey to launch at boot...or am i getting to adv for you?

You must be able to enter safe mode to rememdy this prank. If you don't, you may have permanently damaged your victim's computer and get into trouble

False, enter the command shutdown -a

IMHO you should program viruses in ASM not in C++

Even if its stupid its funny for a joke

if you want to really be mean you can embed shutdown -s into the startup key in the registry.. they'll never find it there :P

Now that is royally evil... Although it\'s not a commonly used key (you generally realise when you use it, instead of just randomly), so they will realise in a while. Putting it on several of the letter keys should be more irritating. Still, it\'s not a virus - maybe we should have a sticky explaining the difference between viruses, trojans, worms, etc.?
Always happy to get (random) PMs/IMs.

Batch scripting isn't rocket science, you can easily put together the aforementioned script yourself.

Besides, it's a good Basic-level challenge. ;)
