If this is the bonus they used when they got their bail out money.. Then they should.. but they shouldnt have got any bail out money in the first place. If you manage your money poorly does the government bail you out? I don't think so, so why the hell should they be using our tax money to give these fucking corporations money. Yea unemployment is through the roof, but thats what happend in a recession. When the buisness fails another one will rise up and replace it thats just how things work.

With Keynesians like obama in office though we are always going to be putting out our tax money to fund these corporations becuase we are afraid to watch people lose their jobs. Personally I think its bullshit. yea lots of people are going to be out of a job, but frankly I don't care, I don't want to give my money for somone else to keep their job. The company I previously worked for didn't get money to keep me now did they.

So in a short answer, they shouldn't have got the money in the first place. And if you don't know what keynesian economics is then google it.

These AIG assholes screwed up bigtime, and they get money? No they shouldn't get bonuses. You get a bonus for accomplishing something good, not screwing over an entire banking corporation. The government gives them billions of dollars while millions of people are struggling themselves. I say revoke those billions and give them to the public. screw the trickle down theory, lets use the trickle up theory.

Sadly the money they're giving in bonuses is tax payer's money, pumped in by the government to save them. I generally think it's OK to give bonuses to the group that made the company money, unlike AIG where they gave it to the group which lost them all their money.

To stoke the fire, so to speak, how do you all feel about CONGRESS threatening these individuals with 90% taxation on these bonuses? If it starts with AIG executives, where does it stop? If congress is allowed to target THESE citizens, what makes you immune to such excessive taxation if it is deemed "for the good of the nation?"

a good point. i don't think congress should tax them, but i also don't think the AIG executives should get their bonuses. if congress can tax them, then they could do this to anyone, so we would be shifting towards a monarchy. but the bastards who screwed over a corporation shouldn't get to keep their bonuses.

I agree with everyone here as usual. Now watch the Labor Movements rise up and make AIG the devil while ignoring the (govt')in the room that's really causing all the problems. Socialism full steam ahead. =[

Considering the fact that it is part of there contract with AIG and it was in the "Stimuless" Bill i say no.

Howerver I also say lets stop giving corporations money and let them fail like there suposed to.

In the business world companies come and go. If you don't do good you close up and others come in your place. I don't think they should have gotten any money. Congress should have said give the money back or we will tax the company for it all 100%.
