Don't give him hints, the more he has to screw around with it the more possible ways he will learn to hide data.

I do not really consider this a serious hint :)
You solved it, so you know what it means to "look" at it.

Yeah, he will probably still have to search. This was such an odd mission.

In what kind of way do I have to look at it then? I tried the hex of the file, but that is nearly completely empty. When I look at the file with Audacity, to check if there actually is some kind of weak audio track, I see nothing.

It looks a lot like a completely silent wave file to me...

Really no hints on how I have to "look" at the file?

Just checked the challenge, it seems there is still that broken wav-file.
Tiksi posted a fixed version on IRC some days ago, probably not uploaded yet...

Forwarded to the Devs, hopefully gets fixed soon.

Edit:
Found Tiksi's file:

Aaaah now that makes quite a lot more sense. At least that's a sound file with sound. Still I don't have a clue on how to approach this file. It looks like it's just an annoying sound and I can't really recognize a voice in it.
A question:
Are we ment to edit the file, so we can actually hear a password or something, or are we ment to find the password elsewhere, thus we don't hear it?

You are meant to determine that on your own, otherwise it would have been told to you...
