Here's a tip... I hope it's not spoil-ish.
When you write "your name", it is written in the HTML-code, think of that.

Also:
The password file is located in
/var/www/hackthissite.org/html/missions/basic/8/
(read the provided information)

I'm not quite sure about what really happens. Every single thing I try with the syntax for SSI is being blocked. Am I even supposed to be using the code that is used in SSI? Also, are there any tips on how to use the ls?

The only thing that isn't blocked for me is that ls command, but I don't see how that relates to "/var/www/hackthissite.org/html/missions/basic/8/"!

Is there a non-spoiler answer as to what a should be looking for?

(Edit:) Actually, I just got it, and I can see where I got confused

okay, let me tell all you interested my prob...
I've got the list, I am using the correct directory "/var/www/hackthissite.org/html/missions/basic/8/" (not spoiler I hope) but I can't open any file? wt*censored* am I doing wrong?!?

and another thing, I don't know if this will help you others, but if it says that the mission requiers SSI knowledge then perhaps it's time to use SSI knowledge instead of just typing in the same Unix command used in previous mission.

i type "ls" followed by 'something' on the "your name" box... when i submit i always get the same answer "Your file has been saved. Please click here view the file." Did i type wrongly? Totally lost.. Btw.. I got through mission 7 easily..dont know y this one is so confusing...
P.S: spelling mistake [She recently learned about saving files, and she wrote :? an script to demonstrate her ability.]
