What is right? Is there right? Are you right?

According to "Freedom of Speech" anyone has the right to say whatever they want to whoever they want without penalty. Yes, discrimination against a race is considered a crime, but certainly violates the principle of "Freedom of Speech".

Child pornography is a whole other discussion, because children under the age of 18 cannot legally bind into a contract. So it would be illegal, even if the child were to agree to perform in pornography.

To be honest I think that this is quite stupid. If you dont like a site dont go on to it.
And why they have missions to hack a racist site is for you to play the good guy in all the missions.
Im off, last year of school and all, I had something longer but char limit fucked that up. So yeah, had a good run here. Thanks for the memories. Thanks to the staff and users.

Best regards, your posting whore,

It's an interesting question, but I would just conclude that free speech is free speech, and when you try and filter speech (by legal means or not) then you are treading in dangerous territory. When you start to pick and choose what should be allowed to be said, then you no longer have free speech, but instead limited speech. To say it's a hate crime to say something racist is just hyperbole. Who are the victims and why are they victims? Hurting someone's feelings, no matter how dispicable and ignorant the reasons for doing it are, just doesn't seem to cross the line into a crime.

On the other hand though, I despise people who spout racism. The best way, I think, to handle them is to just ignore it and hope for the best with future generations. Anything else, especially suppressing their free speech, may only go to further their cause.

Thanks dude, that's the funniest thing I have ever read on this site.

First of all, every one of the realistic missions have you commit crimes so you actually play the BAD GUY in all the missions according to the law.

Also, please define for yourself the idea of "the good guy." Who were the good guys in the first World War? How about the second? Who were the bad guys in the Vietnam war, Gulf War, Korean War, and the war in Iraq? Although the average American will easily find the same answer to these questions, if you ask America's opponents these same questions during those wars you will surely get different answers.

So I ask you who are the good guys and bad guys in the realistic missions? Well, it depends on your point of view.

In realistic missions 2 you are supposed to deface a website of someone you don't agree with and realistic 3 you are doing just the opposite; fixing a website that was defaced by someone who didn't agree with it. So who are the good guys and bad guys here? Well, if you ask me, the persons doing the defacing are the bad guys in BOTH these missions despite what the message says.

If you think defacing a website it OK because you disagree with it then you DON'T support free speech...end of argument.

now now i dnt agree with that. I do think you have a point with the good guy bad guy stuff but the whole war analogy can spark a whole nother debate so lets do that later. Right now i think that good guy and bad guy always will be subjective. You play the good guy cuz u believe u play the good guy i.e. if ur against racsim u r the good guy in realistic 2. What if u r a member of the KKK tho realistic 2 wood make u the bad guy. Same situation with realistic three. We rally cant describe good and bad in objective terms like good and bad

Well it depends (It always depends....)

IF the site is just a lot of hate slogens and some chat rooms for people to talk about how much they hate people in, then let them be. People have the right to hate who ever they want, and if they select who they hate based on race, then meh to them, can't blame people for being stupid.

HOWEVER if the site encorages people to activly harm others, or plans events in the harming of others, then burn 'em down!

Basicly: If they want to be stupid little kids with a little ass hole web page, let em, but if anybody is going to suffer, end it now.
But soon, its only a matter of time.

You should never hack a racist website. It's what people believe in. If you're attacking them for their beliefs, then aren't you just as bad as them? Let them have their views and opinions. They aren't any more abnormal or any less human than us. Respect their opinions. They have the right to express their feelings and thoughts.

I think it is ok but if you are taken this should be punished with anything but it might be worth it ...

So...you should only hack websites of people you *agree* with? <joke>

Tolerance for people who are different is never easy, but it is especially hard when their beliefs completely opposed to ours.

No, you should not hack websites of people who aren't YOU.

This topic should have been closed after AY7's post. It's as simple as what he said. If you want the right to say whatever it is you believe, you need to defend the rights of others to do the same whether you agree with them or not.
