unable to connect to irc.hackthissite.org in mirc

hi,

was wondering if are we having problems connecting to IRC server just lately or am I just wrong..?

on the edit server i placed this on IRC server - irc.hackthissite.org and this - 7000 in the ports field.

please advise me if there is something else new to do. thanks.

Have you entered the channel you want to connect to? The main channel is #hackthissite.
If you are still having problems, try using xchat (http://www.xchat.org/files/binary/win32/xchat-2.8.7c.exe)

hi iam trying to connect to irc server using xchat and enter this command:
/server irc.hackthissite.org [7000] and also with port 6667 and 6697 but iam nut sucess.
plz tell me, whats wrong?

Fail command is fail.

Try this: /server irc.hackthissite.org/7000

Via Chatzilla, the port need not be specified - connects anyway from the command Monica listed previously.

Subsequently, feed in /join #hackthissite and mingle.

i get this message:Unknown host. Maybe you misspelled it?
iam irretating because iam tring for 1 month,Iam also tryed with java applet but it failed.

Try it without the specified port.

Also: Isn't port designated by a colon rather than a forward-slash?

Port 7000 is for SSL. Use 6667 for non-SSL connections.
