One thing that I find my self scratching my head about right now, and hope to pick up somewhere eventually, is an applied use for C/++ pointers. I know what they are, I know how to use them (I think), but I have (at this time) no use for them. Im sure its someone you learn as you become more proficient at the language, but there you are.

I would like to learn PHP, Python, and C++. I've begun with PHP already, and now just need to get something useful to do in it... :\ I simply can't make useless projects, unless they're ones which are rather useless (for example a password prompt in javascript xD).

Oh, and I want to keep using ubuntu, and probably moving on to Debian or Gentoo at some point.
Always happy to get (random) PMs/IMs.

I want to learn everything.

I don't know shit.

I want to learn to counteract any information attacks launched against my country by any hostile neighbors we may have.

I want to learn it well enough to do it for work.

And play.

I want to know everything when I want to know it, and I want it raw, unfiltered and free of charge. This bullshit about charging for information has stunted the world's ability to learn anything new.

Ok I'm 17 and I'm not really big on trying to hack to destroy or anything, But what i DO want to know is what are The Two best books i would need to learn Javascript and HTML I already have a C++ book, And I'm wanting to get into Webdesign and also make myself a forum(such as this, only mainly a gfx forum) And would like to know how you would go about hacking(Of course my own site) And figuring what the security problems could be.

Because i have a friend who made a GFX Forum and it was hacked because some kid couldnt handle criticism..
It would be a great help if you'd point me in the right direction.
