What is the "Experiment"?
I did a whois lookup and saw that the IP is registered to Columbia University, I also checked it out with nmap and saw that it had numerous ports open. But what are we supposed to do? There are only three(3) files in the home directory, and we can't sudo. I tried e-mailing the files to myself but I couldn't figure out how to attach files from the command line. I used X forwarding, and tried to use firefox or nautilus, but they don't ever come up. I even checked out ports 80 and 443 with my browser, but all they say is that this computer is being used for an experiment, and user accounts have been distributed on various forums, and (of course) "Thanks for participating".
I just want to know what this "Experiment" is, is it supposed to be a wargame? What are we supposed to do?
