Need Help Web Page

So I am making this web page that allows the user to write some text and I want to create a "Save" button that would just save it to his or her PC or send it to his or her email. How would I get around to that?

This is not a REAL website, = it isn't hosted anywhere, is there a way for an html page to save information on the users computer? If the html page is on that computer itself?

My guess would be adding a script in your coding, however with doing that you would want to make sure it was well secured.

Example: I think its realistic mission 3 or 4 when you have to recover the hacked poetry website. when you have to use the poetry insert field to switch index pages.

You could add a mail script, which allows you to send e-mails via your site.
