Paradox

Paradox

There are some images that really intrigue me.
I think these impossible images are so fascinating that I could stare them for several minutes. I always wonder who creates them.
Here are some examples:

And there are many others.

There are many other types of optical illusions. But paradoxes really intrigue me.

I don't know who create them. But, to me they are design genius.
If someday I have a company. Its logo would be a paradox.
What do you think?
If you know more... please post it :D.

Not to be a bitch, but i really hate these kinds of things. When i was really young i saw the first picture you displayed and straight away thought, that's bullshit, those steps are going down. I've never really had any respect for them because they all rely on the same assumed depth of field. And because there is no actual depth of filed in the main picture, all the extra details, like the people, in the pictures you provided, just look out of place to me. But that's just my cynical opinion.

:P ... Thanks for the opinion...
Actually they sometimes give me headaches but I still like them.
A think these things happen because our brain use the image of both eyes to recognize depth, that's how 3D movies works. In the image we just don't have those two different angle images so we can't recognize what's going on.

I suppose you could call it triangulation. You can determine how far an object is away if you know how far apart the two points of reference(your eyes) are and what angle they are at to focus on the object.

They would use 3 point perspective drawing to try and recreate what the eye would see if the drawing did have depth, then if they can get away with it, change the points of perspective somewhere in the drawing, just to fuck with us.

Triangulation involves three points, not two.

The only one I could stare at forever is the one with the graph board and the watch...
