That link looks dead to me o.O
but
http://htshistory.wordpress.com/2007/12 ... s-history/ (WordPress Copy of Early HTS History Written By IceShaman)
http://htshistory.wordpress.com/2007/12 ... nt-shadow/ (WordPress Copy of The Troubles During Beginning of Silent-Shadows Site Admin Position)
are pretty accurate.

I really like how I'm not mentioned in any of the history, the best folks are the quite ones ;P
I'm guessing one of these days this thread is going to get an update, not that much of interest has happened.

Its more like 2005-2006 but database got reset in the past(as mentioned in the history) and yeah its no longer considered appropriate to have other people post for you/use dummy accounts or try to only deal with things in the background. I guess you'll see that number rise now(until I change it).
Forums, especially the cleaned up version ran by decent mods is very important to the HTS community even if admin details are still handled elsewhere. The staff members that run the forums are so much better suited for the job(you won't find me making official statements or banning people on this medium) but I can't hide forever.

In one of the missions source code there is reference to the original site "hulla-balloo.com" lol
I don't know if it's intentional or not, but in the basic missions it sends an email to "webmaster@hulla-balloo.com", which you have to edit to send to yourself.

it looks like this was in fact the email of the founder.

^, hulla balloo was the first version of HTS. If you dig deep enough into the history of HTS, you'll find a lot of interesting stuff. I've spent a solid day or so digging into it.

its like watching a video of someone whos dead before they died.
not that watching a video of a dead person after they died wouldn't be creepy too lol.
