Is HTS a ghost town?

I've seen three users that have made posts recently. If HTS really is dead I won't have much of a problem; Goatboy knows whats he's talking about and seems like a great tutor, and having at least one or two other users learning will be good. This place seems like it used to be great though. I've been on a lot of forums and I know that these things happen, sometimes communities just die out. I'm wondering though, if I bring in a lot of fresh faces would that help get some morale flowing?

I hope so... sounds like a very good idea. There is really a need for more people....

I checked out the member list. It looks like there are a ton of people on HTS, but no one is really communicating. There was at least a page of new users from today alone. I can see there are people here, and I know they're more skilled than I. So what I'm saying, I guess, is that can we all start posting more?

As long as you post something intelligent and not complete garbage.

You're not really one of the users I'm directing that to. I've seen you post multiple times. I really want to see the new users post.

Every hacking community that i know of (was involved in one way or another) have died, it's probably because of me :D so kick me out now! :D it's really hard to keep such communities alive these days. I think the key to success is activism, you have to be true activist to keep the community going: code tools, publish papers, involve in interesting events, publish problems and look for solutions, hack pr0n sites :D all this kind of stuff.
I would like to see a community "Wikihacks", where people do hack for freedom and rights or justice :D:D sounds silly but that's what ppl need. Would be fun to watch how it is going.

Personally, i have nothing to do here.

I really hope HTS hasn't become a ghost town. I have know about this site for years but only recently joined because I just started getting into programming.

I think the majority of the people recently signing up for HTS are people hitting their stumble buttons constantly. Could possibly be people signing up, but not coming back. They probably thought signing up would give them all the 'easy answers' or whatever.
