¡Esta idea tiene mi apoyo! Pero he dicho algo similar antes, y Monica dijo "No hay un uso, y este sitio solo es para Inglés."

@English speakers: I love languages. I honestly believe I will keep studying new languages until the day I die. With each new language I pick up (although it's only two so far) I get a perspective that you just cannot get with English alone. I fall in love with the culture. There are some things you just can't express as beautifully in English. The benefits are endless.

Emotional appeal aside, think about how many more people you can talk to and how many more connections you can make by including another language. In a community such as ours (referring to the hacker community) that values intelligence and casts aside prejudice, why wouldn't it make sense to embrace other languages? Even if only two people use the new subforum (which is how it may be for a while), it has benefits. The people who grew up with the language (fabi) get to feel more comfortable, and the people who learned it (myself) get to practice.

Anyways, that's my little soap box speech advocating a new subforum. At the very least, we should give it a test run.

Mhhh, I don't think this is getting too much attention.
Why hasn't even Monica taken the time to come over here?!

I definitely agree with you, Goatboy, about the fact that other languages will give you a new perspective on things, and that no language can fully emulate some aspects of other languages. They're fairly interesting.

Still, I think it's best to keep this website as a single language entity. It's true that the sub-forum would probably be fairly dead for a good period of time, but if it becomes big, why split the community? People don't really get flamed for bad English as it is, (unless of course it's of the l33t suburbanite 13 year old hacker type), and English tends to be the standard language for computer related things as it is.

That being said, I suppose it wouldn't be too much of a problem if it was an "off-topic" subforum, but shouldn't be used for technical discussion.
