I have been reading CEH: Certified Ethical Hackers Study Guide, also I have been dipping in the introduction to web application hacking exposed 3. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a book or two. I am a hobbyist and I goto school for Information assurance | Cyber Security. So far everything in CEH; I already know, I feel I may have more indepth knowledge on some thing talked about as well.I mean; does anyone know any good reading material, for someone who understands the concepts but isn't to sure how to practice?(hope that made sense) Thanks for any and all responses

P.S I am currently interested in web application hacking
also I just recently went out and borrowed 3 books

HACKERS BEWARE
Programming Linux Hacker tools uncovered
Programming in Assembly Language VAX-11

I got the assembly book cause I wanted to read "Exploits the art of hacking"
linux hacker tool book looks really cool ."how to make a sniffer" etc...

I named them incase anyone has heard of them, and they have recommendations of the order I should read or if I shouldn't read something altogether.

Please someone lend me some enlightenment

"Hacking the Art of Explotation" seems like a book you would enjoy reading. Also, if I were you, I wouldn't learn how to program in VAX-11 Assembly as it's not really that common of a language, and you won't ever need it when programing in the future. Although learning one assembly language will help you with learning others, you should still stick to learning a x86 ASM or x64 language as they're much more common. Also, you might be interested in "Gray Hat Python" as it shows you how to apply a lot of your knowledge to real world applications.
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning. -Rick Cook

"Hacking the Art of Exploitation" and "Gray Hat Python"
I second those recommendations. I've read the first one and enjoyed it, took a lot of notes. The second I've heard a lot of good things about. Might pick that one up myself actually...
