Not familiar with the book, But I would suggest the latest.

I assuming you're looking for the book that many Perl programmers call "The Llama," from O'Reilly (when you pick up the book, you'll see why). I haven't picked it up myself, but its counterpart "The Camel" (more commonly known as "Programming Perl," same publisher) is supposedly an excellent read, too.

If you're still looking, as far as programming books go, you'll almost always want to go for the latest edition.
