New Forensic Missions!

limdis has had plans of starting up forensic missions for a while now. Over the weekend he finished up his first. As he did that, I worked it in to be an official category on HTS rather than having it be in the User Submitted subforum. Check it out here.
With good feedback, there will be more to come.
Enjoy.

And let me be the first to give this sort of feedback.

The mission felt fairly real, having examined a good amount of random USB sticks in my time. There was just enough "extra" stuff to keep it interesting and provide some distraction, but not so much that you feel like you are wading through a mess. If you're thorough (as you should be in any forensics situation) you should find what you are looking for pretty quickly.

This mission definitely beats the hell out of my half-ass "mission" from years back, and I look forward to more.
Assume that everything I say is or could be a lie.

This challenge was interesting, as I had no experience in forensics before I took this on.
I also credit limdis in reason that I have learned a few things from this.
I was thrown for a little loop after running into a certain file recovered from the trashcan; nice twist.
The mission felt very real (eye candy), and made me curse at my terminal and wallshadow a little bit, but alas it's done.
I would have completed this mission in far less time, had I not been so naive.

I want more...
If you're not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you're determined to learn, no one can stop you.⠠⠵
The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.

I enjoyed it. Very well thought out. Simple enough to not be discouraging, while still pushing you to think like a hacker.
The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty; it's merely twice as big as it needs to be.
