Mission Progress not Saved

I'm a new user, and doing the basic missions. However, my progress is not saved and, every time I quit then go back in, my progress has been reverted to level 2. Is this normal?

Btw, can't post in missions where I think this is more relevant sorry.

Mind sharing what exactly the root of the problem was, and how you went about fixing it; in case someone in the future has an issue similar?

Sure. When you click on the basic missions on the left then basic 2, it goes automatically to level 2 (provided you've completed level 1). However, if you click on your username on the left ("Hello, ..."), you can see your progress and from there, choose to access the furthest level you are up to.

Alternatively, in the URL, replace the end number with the desire level and you access that level. e.g. http://www.hackthissite.org/missions/basic/7/ replace the 7 with 9 and you access level 9. But that would be cheating .

Not really. The challenges are meant to be completed in any order (I think).

Just confirmed that the mission is working fine. It is only recommended you do them in order but it is not a requirement; meaning that you aren't cheating. You can change the URL like you did or you could just go here.
