Hiya everyone :D

I've been on this website a few days now, so I figured I might as well introduce myself by now.

I'm a school student, 15 years old, and an aspiring video games developer. I've been interested in computers all my life and spend a lot of my time on them, and when I'm not doing that I'm either drawing or painting.

I know the basics of most programming languages, but primarily html and java. I really hope to improve my hacking skills here and hopefully learn a lot more and meet some new people!

Hey folks,

Found this site after reading a bit about pentesting.

I am highly tech savy. I have a VERY basic knowledge of html, java, and networking. Working with burp suite, cli and linux currently to expand my knowledge. Just started on my first realistic challenge and LOVE all that I am learning. I respect those who know so much, and hope to ever increase my understanding.

Hope to help and be helped here as my time goes on. I tend to read more than I post but you will hear from me if I have something to say.

A shout out to those who have already helped but don't know it, will help in the future, and of course to those who make this place possible.

Hey everyone,
I'm 24 and I'm just starting to learn computer science. I'm very interested in computer science and cyber security but I know next to nothing about this sort of stuff. It's discouraging to know that there's so...so much to learn but I figured the best way for me to learn is to try out some hands on projects/wargames hence why I signed up here.
Looking forward to learning the basics!

Welcome! Also, don't see it as discouraging, see it as a challenge to find out as much as you can. Start small, get better and learn. I'd say therefore your first steps are right. No-one will ever know all, the more you know the less you know you know, you know?

Hiya,

I'm a 20 year old newbie interested in cyber security and removing malware, viruses, trojans, etc. That sounds weird to be interested in viruses, right?

I have a fair knowledge of HTML and CSS, currently learning C++ and PHP. Next challenge is Perl. A very basic understanding of Javascript.

Currently dual-booting an old Samsung netbook with Ubuntu Linux to play around with because the Kali description put me off, then I realised Kali would be the best flavour to use. Oh well. I'm excited to learn new things, I find cyber security fascinating and try to keep up-to-date with what's happening by reading blogs, articles from security companies and so on. I'm hoping to meet fellow enthusiasts, get down to studying properly, try some challenges...basically take my interests to the next level by improving my skills.

In the real world, I'm a part-time student because I had this thing where I nearly died so I'm not up to much at the moment. I'm literally the stereotype of a hacker being stuck in their room all day looking at loads of monitors. But like, bedridden.

And that sums me up. I hate these things. Hello everyone, hope you're having a wonderful day...?

I Guess since this is a newish account for me I may as well reintroduce myself. then again I didn't post much to the Forums with my previous account anyway.

My Handle is Lord Syn I'm a IT Security Specialist currently working as an engineer for a Mobile Software company, you know like smartphones and junk ... I can read and debug most programming languages however I currently prefer to stick with Shell scripting or Powershell in the windows world.

I'm working on some fun stuff with arduino to launch and track model rockets and measure what ever vars I can with as small a payload as possible. its been progressing slowly ... state and county laws limit where you can fly a model rocket :( or airplane's or quadcopters ... and the list goes on

some of the people how have been around a while may know me I wrote one of the Stego missions and was at one point a Site Mod. Back when I was still Active Duty Military Go Air Force !! Any way thats me so Blarg Honk !! And if you ever head out to Defcon, BlackHat, BSides LV, BSides DC, BSides Charm City, or Shmoocon Hit me up I'll be around !!
