Where to learn to hack?

Hey everyone, I'm new to this and so far it's been absolutely fascinating! I've made my way through the first seven basics, but they're getting really difficult. It's hard to complete them if you don't already know what you're doing.
What I'm looking for is a place to actually learn these skills first before trying to use them.
Do any of you have a recommendation for a place to go to learn?? Any particular websites or books that would help me?

Well yeah but here is the thing with the missions. They are designed to introduce you to new content and concepts. You dig into the mission a bit, pick up the clues and go research and learn then come back. There is not a one place to go to learn it all. It all depends on where you want to go with it.
