I've been doing a few of the basic missions where you need to change to source code. Until now i just copy-pasted the code into notepad, edited it and saved it as a HTML file. On big disadvantage is that the code is less organized and harder to read when copy-pasted into notepad. Is there a better way? A way to keep the original layout, with all the HTML tag colors?

^ Gotta love notepad ++. But if you don't necessarily want to have to copy and paste, you can always try using the FF addon, Firebug. Firebug is good for organizing all HTML tags and any scripts within it.

Yes you can but it's not that simple. If it was everyone would be doing it all the time lol. Since you are new start small and find out what things are before you start learning the techniques. Look up "website defacement" and get to learning.
