Were to start?

Alright so im not completly new to computers, as im familiar with c++, BASIC, and im learning java script.Im some what familiar with HTTML, but im just a little confused as to where to begin. I tried the first mission but i dont have the slightest iota of an idea on what to do. Im not asking for someone to teach me every thing they know , but if some one could point me to a forum or tutorial it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to HTS. Each mission has a forum to go along with it to figure out where to start or find some hints if you are completely stuck. Here is the forum to the first basic mission. It should get you started.
