THC Hydra-Wordlist question

Hi guys, I am new to this site and I have started using Backtrack Linux not long ago. I come across this password cracking tool, hydra and I am learning to utilize this tools. Anyway, I was wondering where can I get a efficient username wordlist and password wordlist?

Eh. Everyone has to learn somewhere. OP you can find several word lists throughout the internet if you don't want to go about making your own. I understand that a lot of people might not want to make their own because it can be a lot of tedious work. What makes them effective is entirely based on the target. A good word list for my purposes might be garbage to someone else. If you are just trying to learn how to use one make one up yourself with about 20 different words including the pass needed and you can do a run to see what an effective attack looks like. Just remember that you don't want a giant all encompassing word list that will take hours (or days) to run through.
