How to check vulnerablities

I have just helped a friend of mine make a new website. Though i'm concerned with my lack of security knowledge i could never make it into a serious website.
So i need some education if you guys were up to it
1.how can I tell if my ports or services on those ports are vulnerable
2. What can someone potentially do with this information.
3. how can i fix this issue

Thanks ahead for the support
this website was also created using a server administration tool called Cpanel

Your host (if you are using a free or non dedicated server) will cover ports and services. Scanning these would require a tool similar to Nmap. With this info, chances are nothing will be found. As for website security, you will want to look into the stuff these missions cover.
The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty; it's merely twice as big as it needs to be.
