Using an American proxy?

Recently I expatriated to France, resulting in a loss of ability to access a lot of great sites like Hulu and Pandora.

I've googled free proxies, and I end up with a bunch of websites that display the site in a frame in the window. But I'm trying to find a US-based proxy that I can configure in Firefox's connection settings and then forget about it.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried Googling US proxies? That should work. I've tried Googling Japan proxies before and came up with a lot of good results.

For streaming things, public proxies will probably be extremely slow. If you have any friends in the US who've got lots of spare bandwidth, try to talk them into setting up a VPN or some other form of "private proxy" for you to use.
