Using an HTML editor.

Firstly, allow me to apologize for my horrible choice in usernames... it just came to me.

Anyway, I'm trying to find a site or a program that I can use as my playground for testing HTML scripts. I tried to use the w3schools HTML "try-it-yourself" thing but for some reason I can't get it to work. Any advice or suggestions?

Still go to school? I know my highschool has Frontpage installed on every computer. Personally I use dreamweaver, I find it nice and easy. I started programming my own a while back, but it was really basic. I don't know enough html so I'm not really to sure why I bothered even starting. Boredom seems to be the birth of stupidity.
Oh, you could use freewebs I never liked it but hey, you might. Best check their terms and conditions first though...

if youre trying the basic missions this is what i use
crimson editor (when i was using IE)
now i got firefox (alot better)
use the add-on fire bug, or web developer

firebug is the way i go and i suggest firefox to anyone learning hacking it juss runs smoother

if you are running windows textpad is a really great editor, it will link your code to your browser if you save it as .html or .htm. It comes with a free trial also. It also works with more programming languages than I could ever learn, I would say anybody but I'm sure there's someone out there fluent in everything from fortran and cobol to "insert more modern language here".

txt pad works but its basic and you cant see you results instantly like firebug
