Silly person :P

I want t learn PHP, C++, Java/script and on a whim, Pearl but that isn't essential. The first 2 I would like to learn mainly for site building but I don't have the patience for it all sometimes >_>

I'm interested in learning how to read and write C++, java etc..

Problem being I don't know where to start or what's a good 'cherry popper'
Seeing as I start school for computer programming/engineering in spring
I'd like to get a little ahead so I know what I'm doing.
Any suggestions would be much appreciate as in: Books or Websites that have serious tuts on where to being.

Thanks :]

Hmm, for me hacking is more of a hobby, and programming is my thing, BUT to be a half decent hacker, you need to have a very good understanding of programming, so if I aim for hacker status, It will help on my road to awesome programming skills.

I've dabbled in C, C++, Python, HTML/CSS (Hardly a language), java and javascript (I HATE YOU JAVASCRIPT!!!), pascal and prolog....Jack of many trades but far from master of any!

I'm hoping this site will be able to teach me more about Javascript, and programming in general, as well as networking and securaty...But so far I have only realy found the tests and no lessons....They must be hiding somewhere!

I got to level 5 general before my first spot of trouble, and now I'm loooking through code trying to find the referer, but so sure I'm looking in the wrong places.
But soon, its only a matter of time.

I have no special skills or anything when it comes to computers. I have never taken any classes on C++ and the like, and I probably never will... I don't know.

My Microsoft Office keeps asking me to activate it in order to get all the features available... even though I've already done that. I'm into file sharing. And there are times when I get the Not Found page... aka HTTP servers that claim that they can't find the url on my server. And then there is the decensoring of pictures. These are just specifics. And then there is the deal with protecting myself from... pretty much everything.

In general, I wanna learn how to hack websites.

Now I have a question, suppose I did take computer classes like C++, C, and all that crap... how difficult are these classes? What should my math skills be for it?

Unless you are writing algorithms, you will not need very advanced math skills.

Well, I took Algebra I and II, and I took basic trig in Algebra II, which was very merciless. But all this took place back in 2005 and before. I'm not in college yet either. But considering that I graduated back in 2005, I probably regressed. lol
